This article details how to place a reanalysis order for a Diagnostic Genome test in the UI.
To order reanalysis of a Diagnostic Genome test, the original test must first be:
- Completed
- Have a passing result
First, find the original order using the filter and search tools on the Orders Dashboard. Then, click into the order by selecting the Order ID hyperlink.
At the top of the screen, select Reorder Test for Reanalysis.
This will take you to the Test Information page. On this page, you should confirm that the following information is accurate:
- Test type
- Clinician
- Confirm the clinician is correct and active. If the clinician is no longer available, the field will default to blank and you will have to select a new clinician.
Next, select Save and Continue and move through the order as you normally would. Corrections can be made to patient information, if necessary.
On the HPO/Phenotype Information page, enter the additional HPO terms for reanalysis. If the order contains outdated HPO terms, you will need to add the corresponding updated code to the order. Outdated HPO terms are indicated with an orange exclamation point next to the HPO Code, shown below.
To update the terms to an updated version, follow the steps below:
- Hover over the orange exclamation point
- A pop-up will appear indicating that a new version of the term must be used
- Click the orange exclamation point
- The updated term will automatically appear in the HPO search bar
- Select the updated term to add it to the order
- Remove the outdated term by selecting the trash can icon
Once all codes are updated, progress to the next page. Add any Clinical Information as necessary and submit the order.
