This article provides guidance on how to use the sort and filter tools of the Samples by Order Dashboard, as well as how to customize your view, export information, and sample statuses.
Overview
The Samples by Order Dashboard gives you a comprehensive, real-time view of all samples across your assigned project(s). The dashboard includes robust tools that allows you to explore, filter, customize, and export sample level information. It is located within the Order tab.
At a glance, you can monitor sample statuses, review timestamped sample events, and access key patient details in one place. The dashboard also hosts the +Add Order button, which serves as the starting point for creating new orders within the system.

Filter & Sort Features
The dashboard includes multiple filter options, including the ability to filter by:
- Sample Status
- Project
- Test Type
and sort by:
- Sample Status (Ascending or Descending)
The more + dropdown offers additional filtering options, including free-text search fields and selectable value fields such as:
- Date Range
- Order ID
- Sample ID
- Patient Name
- Family ID
- Review Status
- Direct to Patient
- Result
- Result Status
- Material
- Original Material Type
- Reuse Types
- State of Collection
- Patient Date of Birth
- Ordering Clinician
- Ordering User
Customize Column View
The Samples by Order Dashboard also give you the opportunity to customize the page view based on available columns. To customize the information displayed on the screen, select the grid button (shown below).
Move columns between "Visible Columns" and "Hidden Columns" using the arrows. Once you've made your selection, click Apply.
Export Sample Information
To export sample information, click the Download button located in the top-right corner of the dashboard. You will be asked to confirm the download, with a preview of the first few rows, then the file will automatically download through your web browser, allowing you to save it locally to your device.
Please note depending on the number of orders you are attempting to download, this may take a few moments to complete.
